Those who are energetic can take the way 20 minutes down to the bath in the hot springs here next to the river after lunch. From JhinuDanda it is a warm climb to reach the top of the ridge, then around Chhomrong, our place during the night for tonight. Chhomrong is built on the steep slope and has some shops and several tea houses, wooden pavilions and all the village has stunning foreground views towards Macchappuchare (Fishtail Peak) lodge

Day 05: Chhomrong – Dovan (2600 m) approximately 6 hours of walking.

We leave Chhomrong along the ModiKhola leaving behind the inhabited foothills in the great stage and wooded slopes of the Himalayas. We cross the suspension bridge, then trek to SinuwaDanda. The ascent of Sinuwa becomes a little flatter. The trail crosses thick and dark forest of rhododendrons as far as Khuldighar. Then we descend a step into bamboo and rhododendrons deep forests through which we reach Bamboo stone long and steep. After the gentle climb of 1 ½ hours of walking, finally we reach our destination in Dovan for the night. Lodge

We climb into the area which is called Macchappuchare base camp, a level and grassy moraine platform with several lodges. In the afternoon we can go up the ridge behind camp to look down on the glacier and absorb the distant view of Annapurna 1 & 3, Gangapurna and stretching the neck up,the Fishtail now nearby. Lodge

Day 07: MBC- Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m) about 2 ½ hours of walking.

Another short day today, as it is a fairly gentle ascent of our camp to Annapurna Base Camp South, and at a distance of only about 4 kilometers or 2½ miles. More and more impressive views reward us for our efforts as we climb the last steep section before reaching the basecamp area.
