We will drive up toward the east until reach jancu village, from where we will start hiking up along the quebrada sallap, we pass sometimes through quenual trees (Andean tree), sometimes into the scrubland until reach Lake shallap at 4250 m high, The lake is lies just bellow of huge snowcapped peaks of San Juan and Huantsán the second one is over the 6395m high & considered by climber of the over the world as one of the most difficult summit to climb, at the shores the lake we will enjoy our box lunch and taking marvelous pictures around us. After that turn back on the same trail up, at jancu village awaits our private transportation to back to Huaraz.
