Day 1: Cusco - Mollepata - Sayllapata - Humantay Lake - Soraypampa Camp
5:00 am departure by our private transport to Mollepata town at 2,850 masl. A beautiful 3-hour scenic journey through Izcuchaca and Limatambo. We can see spectacular views of the chains of snowcapped Vilcabamba, the colorful village of Mollepata, after breakfast and after 1 more hour we will go still in bus to our beginning of the trek Challacancha at 3,800 masl where we meet our Arrieros “ horsemen“ and trekking staff (Cook and Assistants). We commence trekking with a gradual climb of 250 meters for about 2 and a half hours through a pristine Andean valley landscape before arriving to Soraypampa. There after visiting a spectacular glacial lake we have lunch, after lunch we will have the option to visit the Humantay Lake (optional hike) the hike to get there will be about 3 hours’ round trip hike up and down, then once we will arrive at the camp site we will have dinner, after dinner your tour guide will give you, your briefing for the next day

Day 2: Soraypampa - Salkantaypampa - Salkantay Pass - Chaullay Camp after an early
breakfast we will start our trek approx. at 7:00am with direction to Salkantaypampa then for 2 more hours to reach at the Apacheta Pass at 4,630 masl. From this point we can appreciate spectacular views of Cusco’s second highest peak, the stunning snowcapped Salkantay (6,271 masl) and also the snowcapped mountains Humantay and Huayanay, white river, sma ll lakes and moraines. In the Apacheta Pass you can leave a piece of rock carried from the bottom as a present from you to the Apacheta. (In Inca times the walkers used to leave at the top their shoes, clothes, jewels or simply a piece of rock as an offering). We continue 2 hrs downhill to lunch in Huayracmachay, and then, depending on the group ability, weather and walking conditions, the guide will decide whether to camp 2 -3 hrs downhill walk in Rayan-niyoc at 3100 masl or travel a further 3km to camp at Chaullay 2920 mts for experienced trekkers. Very nice camping area.

Day 3: Chaullay - La Playa - Santa Teresa
Around 7:00am, we will start our trek. We will walk for about 5 hours toward La Playa and during this period; we will observe a town called Collpabamba, also called the "Forest Cloudy Brow" where waterfalls, fruit - bearing trees, varied flora, and birds can be obs erved. If we are lucky, we will be able to observe the famous bird called the "Cock of the Rocks". At 12:00pm a local bus will take us to Santa Teresa Hot Springs, where we will have lunch. You will enjoy and relax at the hot pools in the afternoon. Around 7:00pm, we will have dinner and camping in Santa Teresa.

Day 4: Santa Teresa - Hidroelectric - Aguas Calientes
You will have breakfast at around 7:00am, then there are d ifferent options to choose from: Zip Line: Those who are up to more adventure can go for a rapid Zip Line Adventure at the nearby Zip Line Park. Featuring 5 zip lines over 200 meters high and a s uspension bridge makes this the ultimate adventure in Santa Teresa. Eventually, a van will bring you to Hydroelectric where you meet the rest of the group. Trekking: if you prefer continuing by foot, you start trekking right after breakfast from Santa Ter esa to Hydroelectric where you’ll meet the rest of the group for lunch. For those who partied too much the night before or if you simply don’t have enough energy to walk, there the option to take a bus from Santa Teresa to Hydroelectric (15 Soles). After the re-union at Hydroelectric, you will have lunch with your group and then start the last part of your trekking: under palm trees, with the river one side and the train track on the other, you walk for approx. 2,5 more hours to Aguas Calientes (Machu Pi cchu Town). Arriving in Aguas Calientes you will check into your hostel with comfortable beds, hot shower and Wi-Fi and have some time to visit the hot springs of Aguas Calientes (entrance: 10 Soles), get your snacks for the next day and relax. In the eveni ng you will meet at a restaurant for dinner and your guide will give all the information about the next day as well as your Machu Picchu and train tickets. Make sure to charge your camera and/or smartphone for your visit to Machu Picchu!

Day 5: Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Early walk (approximately 1.5 hours uphill from Aguas Calientes) or bus for 25 minutes to the Citadel of Machupicchu, guided tour for 3 hours and plenty of free time for further exploring. Generally around 1:00 pm people walk down the steps or take the bus down to Aguas Calientes ($12usd) for lunch and after lunch at approx. 16:00 hrs we take our return train to Ollantaytambo with bus connection arriving to Cusco city around 8:00 pm.
